Oleksandr and Iryna, his wife, serve children and teenagers in Ukraine. In 2024, they started a weekly Bible club for children and youth.
“We introduce them to biblical truths and to Jesus Christ,” Oleksandr says. “In just a year and a half, the club has grown from 10 children to 60 regular participants.”
In late 2025, Oleksandr and Iryna had the opportunity to take 12 children of different ages to a summer Bible camp in partnership with Reach A Village. “The children were very happy to spend time together,” Iryna says. “At the camp, they reflected on God’s Word, discussed spiritual topics, and took part in excursions. On the final day of the camp, a 12-year-old boy made a decision to repent and accept Jesus. What a blessing for us to share this time of fellowship and prayer with these children!”
In early 2026, Oleksandr and Iryna had the opportunity to take 12 children to spend a week in the mountains at a Bible camp supported by Reach A Village. There, they enjoyed silence, beauty and rest — away from the constant sounds of air-raid sirens, alarms, shelling and explosions. They didn’t have to take shelter at any time.
“We are especially grateful for the spiritual parts of that week,” Oleksandr says. “The children were taught in a simple and understandable way about the sins and struggles that especially affect teenagers and young people today. Several of the teenagers repented in prayer before God, and five accepted Jesus as their Savior.”
“This was like a breath of fresh air for them in the midst of war,” Iryna says. “Most of the children are from large, low-income families. Many of them have been forced to relocate because of the war. The rest they had at this camp was a rare and precious gift for them.”
“May the Lord bless everyone who supports, organizes and prays for ministry to Ukraine’s children,” Oleksandr adds. “Through you, God continues to work in the hearts of these who are precious to God.”
“I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord; I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone. Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come” (Psalm 71:16−18).
