New Post: Fight Like Ukrainians!

"We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ." -2 Corinthians 10:4-5

Outnumbered and outgunned, the whole world has been shocked by the recent success of the Ukrainians against invading Russian troops. No one doubts the tenacity and courage of the Ukrainians. From the president down to the common citizens, the resistance and resilience of the Ukrainians has been played out on our TV screens daily since Russian troops invaded. Now, everyone in the world understands the deep meaning of the words on the T-shirt of President Zelenskyy that reads, “Fight like Ukrainians”.

At Reach A Village, we have long understood the cultural and spiritual strength of the Ukrainian people. We are even more aware of the service of the evangelical believers who make up about 4% of the population of 40 million. They have sacrificed to help refugees, rescue people from the front lines of war and minister to the broken-hearted who have lost homes, husbands and hope during the invasion. They are the hidden heroes. We should all take lessons on how to serve like Ukrainians, sacrifice like Ukrainians and share like Ukrainians.

We also now understand the great capability of the Ukrainians. When trained and equipped with modern weapons, they launched a very successful counter-offensive against the Russian invaders taking back village after village. At Reach A Village, we serve the Ukrainian Church by equipping Ukrainians with Scriptures and training so that the brave and faithful believers, well-trained and supplied, can share the Gospel with their Ukrainian and Russian neighbors.

Unlike war, sharing the Gospel and the Word of God has no collateral damage. When the Kingdom of God comes, there is nothing but collateral good! There is peace, joy, transformation and spiritual blessings when people come into a relationship with Jesus Christ!

Blessings in Christ,

    Robert Craft, Founder and President
