A church in every village. A Bible for every believer.
Half of Cambodia’s 14,000 villages still have no church and no Bibles. In 2018, we shared the vision and strategic plan our Cambodian team has to mobilize local believers to start a church in every single unreached village within the next 5 years.
Through your support and the team's work, 794 new churches were started during 2019! We desperately need your help to continue this momentum and supply a Bible for every new believer. The Cambodia team needs us to provide 20,000 Bibles at a cost of $150,000 for the coming year.
Kiry Vannak*, a ministry team member whose previous religion involved trying to appease evil spirits, told us that the Bible was key in his journey with the Lord. A Cambodian Christian came to his village proclaiming the Gospel. After completing several Bible studies with the man, Vannak put his faith in Jesus and was baptized. He shares, “I decided to obey the command of Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-20 to go and preach the Gospel of salvation to all people.”
Thanks to ministry partners like Vannak, over 58,000 people decided to follow Jesus in 2019! Our Cambodian team can’t keep up with the demand for Bibles. For every $75 given, you can help 10 new believers receive a Bible to help them grow in their faith.
Some of them may be the next Vannak, called by God to be part of the plan to start a church in every Cambodian village. A few decades ago, no one would have imagined this vision was possible, but with your help and God’s, it can be fulfilled!

Khine was living as a Buddhist monk in Myanmar. One day, he suffered a stroke and was paralyzed. His followers took him to a special clinic for treatment. But even with the best treatment available, he wasn’t getting better.
Feeling desperate, Khine told one of his followers, “I have heard about those Christians. People say that when they pray, anything can happen. Please take me to see them.”
Khine’s friend carried him through their village to a house church meeting. The pastor and the people welcomed them — even though they were surprised to see them. They prayed for Khine to recover. That night, God healed Khine, and everyone there witnessed an awesome miracle of God.
Khine began to attend the house church meetings and hear more about Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection, and how to have a personal faith in God. “This was the first time in my life that I heard about Jesus,” he says.
Soon, Khine asked Christ to be his Savior. He continues to face a difficult challenge as a Christian in a country where Buddhism dominates. But he never loses heart or gives up. He loves to explain to his followers about the only God and about Jesus who died to set them free.
Alida grew up in Serbia with no interest in God or faith. That changed a couple of years ago when she came to a bad place in her life as difficulties arose in her marriage. Her friend invited her to a church service. She immediately felt the warm, loving atmosphere and noticed demonstrations of sincere care among the people. Alida wanted to have what they had and kept returning. She decided to accept Jesus and allowed God’s Word to start transforming her thoughts, attitudes and behavior.
The real storm in Alida’s life came when her husband was unfaithful to her. Her only harbor in the eye of the storm was Jesus. He gave her strength to continue to pray, read His Word and hold on to His promises. This gave her a real determination to follow and serve Him. She forgave her husband and was ready to take him back, but he left with another woman.
Alida gradually healed from those wounds and committed to the promise she gave to the Lord: to serve Him and seek fulfillment in every area of life through Jesus Christ. Today, she ministers at a local church and is working to help start a new church in a neighboring area.
Over 94 percent of Thailand’s population practices Buddhism, and it is an integral part of the Thai identity and culture. Each year, hundreds of thousands die believing they are hopelessly doomed to an endless cycle of karma and reincarnation. Most never met a follower of Jesus or read a Bible verse. In a country of over 68 million people, fewer than 500,000 are classified as evangelical Christians! Reach A Village has partnered with a Thai church network, the Free in Jesus Christ Church Association (FJCCA), to change that statistic.
Cutting-edge database technology developed by Dwight Martin of CrossTies Asia, a ministry of Reach A Village, shows that Thai Christians are the most effective at reaching their people for Christ, yet only a small percentage are actively involved in evangelism and discipleship. Reach A Village believes that we can make the most significant impact by helping the FJCCA mobilize, train and equip Thai Christians with the Scriptures and Bible study materials needed to reach more villages and start churches.
The Harvest database enables workers to pinpoint unreached villages, and God is blessing their efforts in tremendous ways. Last year, 7,320 people began a new life in Jesus and 191 new churches were started! We anticipate even higher numbers this year. On average, more than 600 people are coming to Christ and 20-30 new house churches are started per month! Over 500 people were baptized at a service earlier this year, which is unprecedented in Thailand.
This incredible movement is being fueled by everyday Thai people like Galong, a 50-year-old wife and mother of two children who has only a first-grade education. Before becoming a believer, Galong (pictured at left in pink dress) had serious health issues and was in severe pain. She spent a lot of money trying to find a cure, but no one was able to help her.
Then, one day, her husband was given a Christian pamphlet and urged her to go to a meeting with him to learn more. There, she found Jesus and gave her life to Him. She asked Jesus to heal her, and He did! “My health got better and better and I got stronger and stronger. I was very thankful to God,” she says. Her life changed. Her family had peace and joy.
Now, Galong’s passion is sharing the Gospel in villages that have never heard before. She was blessed to receive a motorcycle that enables her to do evangelism every day. She goes out in the early afternoon and returns around 8 p.m., then does her job selling noodles along the roadside from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m., and sleeps from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. Over 1,000 people have begun following Jesus because of her ministry, and she has helped to start around 50 house churches!
Please help Galong and others continue to reach more people for Christ!
